How to Join All Villages Presbyterian Church
Membership within the Presbyterian Church involves an affirmation of Christian faith and a commitment to participate within the life of the congregation. Membership is open to all men and women, regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, nationality or any other characteristic that divides the human community.
Formally, the following questions are asked of persons desiring to join the congregation in order to publically affirm faith and the desire to share in the church’s worship and ministry:
- Trusting in the gracious mercy of God, do you turn from the ways of sin and renounce evil and its power in the world? I do.
- Who is your Lord and Savior? Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
- Will you be Christ’s faithful disciple, obeying his Word and showing his love? I will with God’s help.
- Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry through your prayers and gifts, your study and service, and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? I will with God’s help.
Persons interested in joining the congregation are asked to attend a short set of meetings for introductions, orientation and the exploration of faith. These meetings are led by the pastor and concludes with a meeting with the Session and then a welcome in a Sunday morning service of worship.
Please contact the church office (772-873-9280) if interested and more details will be sent to you.
Welcome!
